Vision: To see students (and youth pastors) encouraged as they increase in the knowledge of God and the word.
Rationale:
o Our students deserve for us as leaders to bring them deep, life-giving, heart transforming truth. As youth pastors we all desire that our students live passionately for Christ, we’ve all seen moments of this but how does it sustain for the long haul? As I’ve studied scripture more I’ve seen Paul pray things like this; “For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding so that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.”- Colossians 1:9-10
o What will build and sustain spiritual momentum in the believer’s life? More activity? More hype? While I do believe those are key components I have become convinced that what will build there lives is a knowledge of God
o Our desire is to offer something to students that has depth and an environment in which students can wrestle with the depths of scripture and grow in the knowledge of who the living God is
Bottom Line: We want to be intentional and challenging with our students.
